## Resource

Roman Kantserov, a second-round draft pick and KHL standout with 36 goals, could shock the NHL by starting as Chicago’s first-line center—right out of the gate—while Connor Bedard recovers. The move, seen as risky and potentially damaging to his confidence like past cases with Kevin Korchinski, offers a high-stakes gamble: if it works, Blashill becomes a genius; if not, the blame lands squarely on him. With depth at center already, some argue Kantserov should stay on wing and learn from Patrick Kane—but playing top-line minutes early might accelerate his growth—or backfire spectacularly.
