## Resource

The Canucks are in trade mode, but it’s been quiet since shipping off Marcus Pettersson. Rumors swirl around DeBrusk and Boeser—both with no-trade clauses and rebuild commitments—making deals tough. The front office must slash $20M from payroll, having already moved $12M, so more moves are coming. Prospect Braeden Cootes could jump to the AHL at 19 under new rules—if he doesn’t dazzle, expect him to play top minutes down there. Goalie Tolopilo needs to clear waivers or risk being sent down; Demko and Lankinen’s no-trades make him the likely exit. And Jonathan Lekkerimaki, recovering from shoulder surgery, has a chance to shine with a new coach and open spots—time to prove he’s NHL-ready.
