## Resource

C.J. Stroud’s rookie contract hangs in the balance as his mixed performance against the Bills—274 yards, 2 TDs, 2 fumbles that led to turnovers—underscored both his potential and costly lapses. With QB salaries soaring and a $70M/year deal on the line, Stroud must prove he can deliver elite play over 17 games plus playoffs. The game showcased flashes of brilliance and devastating mistakes: a fumble on the opening drive handed Buffalo an early lead, and another late fumble in Buffalo territory sealed Houston’s fate. Defense struggled to contain DJ Moore and Josh Allen’s big plays, while Stroud still led key comebacks with clutch throws—leaving fans wondering if those moments outweigh the turnovers.
