## Resource

A decade-long, multi-jurisdictional scheme targeting tourists in the French Quarter has finally come to an end following the convictions and heavy sentencings of Danette Colbert and Rickey White in connection to the February 2025 death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano. What began as an investigation into a stolen phone and a fatal drug overdose in a Kenner hotel room uncovered an intricate racketeering operation involving "knockout" drinks, stolen biometrics, crypto transfers, and even a corrupt NOPD officer who assisted in covering tracks. Rafael Goyeneche, President of the Metropolitan Crime Commission, joins Newell to walk through the details.
