## Resource

Flash floods slammed Paterson, New Jersey, and parts of Connecticut, turning streets into rivers and trapping drivers—some for the second time. Residents in Paterson say they’ve endured repeated flooding with little help, blaming neglect despite mayor’s nods to climate change and infrastructure needs. In Fairfield County, seven inches of rain in minutes left roads impassable, forcing rescues and halting Metro-North and Amtrak service. Officials warn stay-at-home unless essential, as extreme weather underscores urgent demands for resilient infrastructure and federal aid.
