## Resource

Gerrit Cole’s playoff hopes hang in the balance as his recent struggles—seven homers in two starts—raise alarms for the Yankees. Coming off Tommy John surgery, his delivery may be unintentionally tipping pitches, and while velocity remains strong, hitters are catching more balls thanks to a tighter strike zone and less predictable placement. At 36, Cole might be peaking at the right time—or nearing the end of his comeback surge. With the Wild Card Series just two weeks away, Aaron Boone faces a tough call: trust the veteran ace or pivot to someone else before it’s too late.
