## Resource

The Yankees are in a bind—still playoff contenders despite aging stars like Judge and Cole, but the temptation to “punt” by trading key players for young talent is risky. With the AL wide open, they’re better off strengthening, not stripping down. Selling isn’t easy—no one wants underperforming vets, and the real need is bats, not prospects. Moving Chisholm from second to third could backfire; he’s got clear preferences and the team’s better off honoring them. Gleyber Torres? A potential offensive spark, but forcing him at third is untested and risky. And let’s not forget their brutal extra-inning woes—situational hitting and execution failures keep costing them wins when it matters most.
