## Resource

The New York Rangers just landed a steal with Malcolm Spence, the 43rd pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, and he’s already making waves at Michigan. After a breakout freshman season with 25 points (10 goals), Spence is now ranked as the fourth-best prospect in the Rangers’ system—right behind elite talents like Smits, Greentree, and Beaudoin. Scouts see him as NHL-ready, especially if paired with top prospects like Michael Hage. His coach believes he could start on the fourth line but has the vision and skill to eventually thrive in a top-six role. With Gabe Perreault already dominating at the NHL level, Spence is part of a rising wave of young talent poised to carry the Rangers into the 2026-27 season.
