## Resource

Carson Soucy’s NHL journey just got a wild new twist—he’s headed to his third Metropolitan Division team in under a year, signing a PTO with the Columbus Blue Jackets ahead of training camp. After starting last season with the Rangers, he was traded to the Islanders in January for a third-round pick in 2026. Though he logged just 30 games with New York and totaled only four points, Soucy brings elite defensive grit—averaging over 17 minutes per game and blocking countless shots during his Rangers tenure. Now, with the Jackets aiming to rebound after missing the playoffs since 2019-20, Soucy could fight for a spot on their third pairing or as an extra defenseman. With 99 career points and a +54 rating across 400+ games, he’s no stranger to NHL grind—and this move might be his best shot yet to stay relevant.
