## Resource

The Rangers are reloading for the future while staying competitive now, with their top draft pick Alberts Smits—already NHL-ready and Olympic-experienced—poised to anchor their defense. After bolstering their blue line with Marcus Pettersson and Sean Durzi, Smits has a strong shot at securing the third-pairing left-side spot, outpacing other prospects like Greentree and Beaudoin in readiness and opportunity.
