## Resource

The New York Rangers are stacking their defense for now and the future, adding NHL talent like Marcus Pettersson and Sean Durzi while also investing heavily in young blueliners with five draft picks. One standout is Ben MacBeath, a second-round pick who’s headed to Denver under coach David Carle — already comparing him to Ryan McDonagh. MacBeath’s solid WHL season (51 points in 67 games) and his lack of weaknesses make him a promising project. If he even approaches McDonagh’s consistency and impact, the Rangers could be looking at a cornerstone defenseman in the making.
