## Resource

Rangers training camp is heating up with high stakes and rising stars—goalie Dylan Garand and defenseman Alberts Smits are stealing the spotlight as rookies vying for key roles. With Jonathan Quick gone, Garand battles veteran Joonas Korpisalo for the backup spot, while Smits, just 18, could make the roster despite being eyed for long-term growth. Coach Sullivan praises Garand’s NHL readiness, while President Drury emphasizes Smits’ development. Pavel Dorofeyev gets experimental wing time, and injuries keep Beaudoin and Thompson sidelined. Off the ice, a new CBA shortens contracts, forcing teams to act fast—and Rangers GM stays tight-lipped on future deals.
