## Resource

The Rangers are reloading their blue line with a wave of new defensemen, but it’s tough news for Drew Fortescue — despite showing NHL readiness in his limited debut last season, he’s likely headed to the AHL this year. With top prospects like Pettersson and Gavrikov ahead of him and a crowded depth chart, Fortescue’s path to the roster is blocked — but his steady, reliable game could still carve out a long-term role as a dependable bottom-pairing defenseman.
