## Resource

The Mets just got swept by Pete Alonso’s Orioles, including a 1-0 Game 7 loss at Citi Field — and it’s been a brutal week for the team, especially with Alonso back in town. Roster moves saw Stock and Duarte go on IL while Curry and Yan were called up, and Lindor’s pursuit of his 300th homer continues. Meanwhile, Carlos Beltrán’s Hall of Fame plaque is headed to Queens for his number retirement ceremony this Saturday — a big moment right at Citi Field. Looking ahead, there’s buzz about a potential leap in ’27, but for now, the focus is squarely on surviving this rough stretch. Elsewhere: the Yankees lost a grueling 13-inning game to the Twins, and Aaron Judge had to exit early with leg tightness. And yes — the ’86 Mets clinched their division on this very date back in ’86.
