## Resource

The Mets are searching for a new manager after firing Carlos Mendoza, with names like Carlos Beltran in the mix—but insiders point to Andy Green as the ideal fit. Despite his proven track record, player connections, and steady leadership—including guiding the team to a 22-17 record after key trades—Green has made it clear he doesn’t want the permanent job. He’s focused on returning to the front office after this season, leaving fans and execs wondering if the perfect candidate is also the one who’s not interested.
