## Resource

The Mets’ bold offseason moves—dumping Edwin Diaz, trading Nimmo and McNeil, and bringing in high-priced stars like Robert, Semien, and Polanco—are backfiring as injuries pile up and results stall. Despite David Stearns’ clear intent to build, the roster’s chemistry and performance are crumbling, leaving the team stuck fifth in the NL East. With big contracts and zero wins to show for it, fans are left wondering: is it the front office, the players, or something deeper?
