## Resource

Jared Young, New York Mets first baseman, suffered a terrifying knee-to-head collision with pitcher Nolan McLean during a game—knocked unconscious and landing face-first. Though initially alarming, medical scans came back clear, and while concussion symptoms were present, Young retained full use of his limbs and even gave a thumbs-up before being carted off. The team’s interim manager praised the positive signs, and teammates rallied around him. Young, a key contributor this season with nine homers and 39 RBIs, had already missed time earlier this year due to a knee injury. McLean stayed in the game but was later replaced. Despite the Mets’ 3-0 loss, all eyes are on Young’s recovery—everyone’s hoping for a swift return after a night that left fans on edge.
