## Resource

Devin Williams is nearing a comeback from his shoulder strain, throwing his third bullpen session and set to face live hitters this Thursday—possibly returning without rehab if all goes well. The Mets’ closer, focused on finishing strong and staying healthy, praised the bullpen’s resilience during his absence, especially younger arms like Senga, Lavender, and Duarte who’ve stepped up. He’s impressed by their performance and even intrigued by the idea of sharing late-inning duties with Senga, whom he lauds for his stuff and poise. Despite being mathematically eliminated, the team still has flashes of brilliance—A.J. Ewing’s clutch hitting and Senga’s dominant relief work stand out. Meanwhile, Cionel Pérez is progressing in his forearm recovery, pitching scoreless innings in Double-A and poised to move up to Triple-A soon.
