## Resource

David Bailey, the Jets’ second-overall pick, is poised to shatter rookie pass-rushing records—with projections of 9.5 sacks, 12 TFLs, and 55 tackles. If he hits those marks, he could eclipse Hugh Douglas’s 1995 team record and rival elite rookies like Chubb or Parsons. While analysts debate his ceiling, even a “worst-case” scenario still nets him five sacks—solid for a top draft pick. Surprisingly, despite only third-place votes for Defensive Rookie of the Year, Vegas backs him as the second-favorite to win it, hinting at his special potential. With the Jets’ history of DROY winners—including Sauce Gardner, Richardson, and Vilma—Bailey’s path to glory may hinge on flashy stats. The hype is real: can he deliver?
