## Resource

A quiet Queens neighborhood is in turmoil as residents battle a suspected squatter, Vernon Glass, who’s allegedly taken over an empty home since the owner’s death in 2018. Glass, previously convicted in 2018 for similar offenses in Nassau County, has now resurfaced in Bayside, sparking outrage and legal action. With the bank unable to act until foreclosure closes and a public administrator appointed to enforce removal, court papers have been served — but Glass skipped his hearing. Congressman Tom Souzzi is urging swift justice, while neighbors brace for a judge’s eviction order that could finally end the disruption.
