## Resource

Twenty-two-year-old Michael Zheng, who grew up hitting balls on the very courts of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, is making waves at the U.S. Open — one of just 32 players left in the tournament. Part of a historic surge of American talent (15 Americans in the third round, the most in 24 years), Zheng credits the electric camaraderie and mutual motivation among his peers for fueling his belief and performance. With a showdown against the top 16 looming, this full-circle moment — from kid to contender — is proof that hard work pays off on the biggest stage.
