## Resource

Judge John Fuller is stepping down after the state Supreme Court eliminated his criminal court judgeship — slashing Orleans Parish’s total from 12 to 9. The move also impacts two other sitting judges, Simone Levine and Rhonda Goode-Douglas, both of whom are running for reelection, making their races must-watch contests. With all nine remaining seats up for grabs starting August 5, this reshuffling could dramatically reshape caseloads and court operations — a bold reminder that even the backbone of our justice system is subject to change.
