## Resource

A chilling discovery in a trash can leads to the grim identification of 78-year-old Carley Provost Senior, whose remains were found in January 2026 — months after he vanished without a trace. His son, Carley Provost Junior, initially uncooperative and later arrested for another murder, ultimately led police to his father’s body near Bogalusa. Authorities now charge him with unlawful disposal of human remains, raising troubling questions about care and neglect amid a family history marked by hardship and addiction. The case closes with a somber truth: no foul play was suspected, but the loss leaves a community shaken and a family in mourning.
