## Resource

The Patriots’ sneaky video board tactic—flashing distracting visuals during opponent field goals—is back in the spotlight, legally sanctioned after once being banned. Originating from former kicker Stephen Gostkowski’s feedback, Bill Belichick turned it into a weapon: blank screens for their own kicks, chaotic imagery for others. Elite kickers like Harrison Butker shrug it off, but lesser ones falter. It’s a subtle edge that defines the Patriots’ dynasty—always hunting advantages, even if they occasionally miss. From misreading Raiders wristbands to Malcolm Butler’s Super Bowl heroics, their genius thrives on detail and preparation.
