## Resource

Drake Maye and his wife Ann Michael stunned educators at Alfred Lima Sr. Elementary in Providence with a surprise $500K+ donation to cover Amazon classroom wish lists for 50+ teachers—just as the school year began. At a Title I school where 98% of students qualify for free lunch and over 400 are multilingual learners, this generosity eased critical supply shortages. Initially skeptical, staff were moved to tears after verifying the gift came from the Mayes’ new MayeDay Family Foundation, which also raised $500K+ via a celebrity softball event earlier this year. The school plans to honor them with a “Maye Day” in May—a heartfelt tribute to their rare, life-changing kindness.
