## Resource

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a knack for turning second-round picks into gems—despite past misses like Steph Curry. Jaylen Clark, drafted 53rd in 2023, is now locked in with a 3-year, $10M deal after recovering from an Achilles injury and showing defensive grit. Craig Smith (36th, 2006) was a steady bench presence over 200 games, though Minnesota’s winless stretch overshadowed his contributions. Doug West (1989) became the franchise’s first second-rounder, playing 600+ games and helping usher in the team’s first playoff run. And then there’s Nikola Peković (28th, 2008)—arguably the best of them all—dominating the paint when healthy, even if the Wolves never won during his tenure.
