## Resource

The Sacramento Kings just pulled off a savvy move, signing Ben Simmons to a one-year, $3.5M veteran minimum deal — a low-risk, high-reward gamble that brings elite length, defense, and playoff experience to a rebuilding roster. With rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr. already in the mix, Simmons slots in as the veteran backup, potentially sidelining key rotation players like Emanuel Sharp and Alex Karaban. While his presence could immediately boost wins, it also threatens the long-term development of young talent — forcing Coach Doug Christie to make tough minutes decisions in what’s supposed to be a rebuilding year.
