## Resource

Dallas is holding onto Kyrie Irving despite trade interest, betting he can rebuild his value early in the season with a strong performance. With a 15-year age gap and recent knee injury, his trade value may be limited to just one first-round pick — not enough for Dallas, who also lack control of their own draft picks until 2031. If Irving dominates scoring, maybe teams will offer more, but given his injury history and contract option for 2027-28, any deal likely stays modest. Trade talks won’t heat up until the holidays — unless Dallas starts slow, which could spark urgency. Irving’s final chapter remains unclear: chasing rings or content in Dallas.
