## Resource

Luka Doncic’s trade to the Lakers sparked personal fire — fueled by whispers about his defense and conditioning — leading to a jaw-dropping body transformation that has him primed for a breakout 2026-27 season. Dirk Nowitzki, his former Mavericks teammate, raves about Luka’s “clean,” “tan,” and “slim” new look, calling him ready to dominate. Dirk also backs the Lakers’ offseason moves — including LeBron’s exit and the addition of big man Walker Kessler — seeing them as smart upgrades. With media day set for Sept. 28 and preseason tipping off Oct. 5 against Sacramento, the revamped Lakers are poised for their first real test — and Luka’s health could be the key to their success.
