## Resource

The Knicks are circling their wagons with a repeat of last year’s camp strategy, bringing in veterans like Bruce Brown and James Wiseman to battle for final roster spots — but with two open slots and cap constraints, they’re forced to play chess with their finances. To make room for more talent, trading Pacôme Dadiet — the young bench player who’s yet to crack the rotation — could unlock both salary space and a roster spot, especially since they’ve got future second-round picks to attach. Moving him now would let them add a wing and a big man to bolster depth behind Karl-Anthony Towns, who’s surrounded by thin center options. Or they could hold onto Dadiet until the trade deadline to snag a player off the waiver wire — but Dadiet’s the most likely candidate to go, given his role and contract. It’s all about maximizing flexibility while staying under the second apron — a tightrope walk that could define their season.
