## Resource

The Pelicans are in rebuilding mode after a brutal two-year slump, but new leadership and a rising star could signal a turning point. Bryce McGowens, once a journeyman guard, has emerged as a key piece with career highs in scoring, rebounding, and shooting — including nearly 47% from deep on open threes. Signed to a three-year deal after the departure of Jose Alvarado, McGowens brings smart playmaking, low turnovers, and spacing that complements Zion Williamson’s game. With no major roster overhauls and optimism tied to the new coach, McGowens may be the quiet spark fans need to believe in a comeback.
