## Resource

Trump’s surprise move to slash tariffs on imported ground beef could bring down grocery bills—but it’s sparking outrage among Tennessee ranchers who say it threatens their struggling cattle industry. With up to 300,000 metric tons of foreign beef now allowed duty-free, domestic producers warn the policy undermines long-term herd recovery amid drought and soaring feed costs. Meanwhile, ten Middle Tennessee farms are stepping up—offering locally raised, often grass-fed beef through pickups, deliveries, or online orders—to let consumers support local ranchers directly and help rebuild America’s food supply from the ground up.
