## Resource

Nine suspected gang members linked to Nashville’s Krooks crew are now temporarily barred from the city’s bustling downtown entertainment district after a sweeping gang injunction was issued. The group, including one juvenile, allegedly targets intoxicated tourists and locals, steals their phones, and drains cash via mobile payment apps—sometimes escalating to violence or threats. Law enforcement says individual arrests weren’t enough, so they turned to this legal measure, which bans them from a defined “safety zone” near major downtown landmarks and prohibits phone-based scams. Five of the nine have already agreed to comply; hearings for the remaining four are pending. This bold move aims to restore safety for residents and visitors in one of Nashville’s most vibrant areas.
