## Resource

A tense standoff unfolds in Franklin, Tennessee, as a city-owned plot of land becomes ground zero for two competing proposals: a transitional housing project called Stable House to aid homeless neighbors, and a sewage treatment facility from the water department aimed at cutting hauling costs. The land, currently home to a community garden tended by longtime residents, is at the heart of a community debate—some support the housing initiative, while others worry about its impact on nearby homes. Meanwhile, suspicions swirl that the sewage plan was pushed only after the housing proposal gained traction, raising questions about priorities. Both projects await further discussion in October, leaving residents watching closely as infrastructure meets compassion.
