## Resource

A former Metro Water Services official, John Honeysucker, is under federal investigation after thousands of emails revealed he secretly helped real estate developers—especially Mack McClung—by bypassing bureaucracy, working holidays, and lobbying officials. Allegations include undisclosed financial ties, secret property deals, and misuse of public resources—all while claiming to serve everyone equally. Metro issued formal charge letters accusing him of sustained misconduct, leading to his retirement before a hearing. The scandal has shattered trust within the department as authorities dig deeper into how far his influence extended—and who else may be involved.
