## Resource

A Texas judge just struck down a drag performance ban — and yes, Dolly Parton was literally cited in the ruling, since banning drag would also force her to be banned. The decision came on August 25, the same day Dolly died, turning it into a poignant tribute for the drag community. The judge reminded everyone: if you’re offended, don’t attend. Meanwhile, Tennessee’s own drag restrictions remain intact, with lawmakers framing bans as protecting kids from “dangerous left-wing social policies.” And on that same historic day, Tim Curry — legendary for playing Frank-N-Furter — also passed away, leaving a void felt deeply by LGBTQ fans and drag performers alike. Both icons, though gone, continue to inspire through their fearless embrace of self-expression, kindness, and art.
