## Resource

A motel shootout on Dickerson Pike turned tense when Christopher Whitaker, already wanted by police, barricaded himself in a bathroom after his arrest. As officers demanded he surrender, Whitaker opened fire—bullets ricocheting off walls—before eventually giving up with no injuries. Body cam footage captured the chaos, revealing a high-powered pistol hidden inside. Whitaker now faces multiple charges, including attempted assault on officers, as investigators dig deeper into this volatile encounter that underscores the daily risks law enforcement navigates.
