After contacting the Utah State Archives for original construction records of the Salt Lake City and County Building, the response revealed something shocking, no blueprints, structural drawings, engineering calculations, or detailed ledgers exist to verify its 1891–1894 construction. Built in just three years, in a small city and before power tools, the official record offers almost no proof of how it was done.
