## Resource

Josh Homme reveals how polka lessons from guitarist Tom Polonsky shaped the rhythm of Queens of the Stone Age’s “No One Knows,” blending boomp-boom swing with reggae vibes—yes, even garlic. He also credits The Doors, especially “The Crystal Ship,” for teaching him music could be scary and profound, opening a doorway to darker, more mysterious soundscapes. His art is a wild mix of unexpected roots: polka, garage rock, and eerie psychedelia—all forged in childhood curiosity and rebellion.
