## Resource

This episode details the tragic disappearance and murder of Sydney Loofe, a young woman from Lincoln, Nebraska, who vanished after a date in November 2017. Investigators discovered that Loofe was lured through a dating app by Bailey Boswell, who was working in tandem with a middle-aged man named Aubrey Trail. The pair operated a disturbing s-x cult and had meticulously planned the killing, purchasing tools for dismemberment before meeting their victim. After a high-profile search, authorities used cell phone pings to locate Loofe’s remains in a rural area, leading to the eventual arrest of the couple in Missouri. During the legal proceedings, Trail attempted a dramatic courtroom suicide, but both he and Boswell were ultimately convicted for their roles in the conspiracy and slaying. The account concludes with the sentencing of both individuals, reflecting on the dangers of online dating and the profound loss felt by the Loofe family.
