## Resource

This episode details the tragic murder of four-year-old Lauren Key and the fifteen-year legal battle to convict her father, Cameron Brown. Seeking to avoid heavy child support payments, Brown threw his daughter off a 120-foot cliff at Inspiration Point in California. Although he claimed the girl accidentally slipped, forensic evidence and biomechanical reenactments suggested she was intentionally propelled from the ledge. Following two deadlocked trials, a third trial finally resulted in a first-degree murder conviction thanks to the persistence of investigators. The narrative highlights the stark contrast in grief between Lauren’s mother and her indifferent father, while honoring the detectives who refused to abandon the case.
