## Resource

The episode details the investigation and trial of Kevin Dean Eastman, who was convicted for the murders of Scott Sessions and Heather Frank. Law enforcement discovered Sessions' charred remains in a remote area, which eventually led them to Frank, a woman with whom Sessions had been communicating. The investigation revealed a history of domestic violence perpetrated by Eastman against Frank, culminating in a jealous ambush where Eastman killed Sessions before later murdering Frank to silence her as a witness. Despite defense attempts to shift blame onto the victims, forensic evidence and cell phone data linked Eastman to both crime scenes. The narrative concludes with the guilty verdicts on all counts and emotional statements from the victims' families during the sentencing phase. Ultimately, Eastman received a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole for his violent actions.
