## Resource

The episode details the arrest of Elijah Zion Bieniemy, the son of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, following a shooting at the family’s Virginia residence. On July 26, 2026, the younger Bieniemy allegedly shot his mother, Mia Bieniemy, who was hospitalized in stable condition with multiple injuries. Consequently, the suspect faces serious felony charges and is currently being held without bond while investigations continue. In response to the tragedy, Eric Bieniemy has stepped away from the team to support his family during their recovery. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and the organization have publicly expressed their support and requested privacy for the family. In the interim, other coaching staff members have assumed offensive coordinator duties as the team proceeds with its training camp.
