## Resource

This episode details the arrest and murder charge of Stephanie Ubaldo, a 20-year-old daycare employee in Perry, Iowa. Authorities allege that Ubaldo gave birth in a bathroom at her workplace and subsequently inflicted fatal head injuries on the newborn to stop her from crying. The infant's body was later discovered by police hidden inside a discarded trash bag within the facility. While the suspect remains in custody, law enforcement officials have used the tragedy to highlight Iowa’s Safe Haven law, which allows parents to surrender infants safely without prosecution. This coverage emphasizes the severity of the allegations and provides resources for reporting suspected child abuse.
