Unfortunately, since its January 6, 2022 inception, the index has tracked the massive decline of the local media industry, with the total value dropping by more than 60%. If maths isn't your strong suit, that's a big fall for stocks -- which investors generally prefer to increase in value. As discussed in the podcast, the past four years have been absolutely transformative, just not in a good way. ## Actions - request_transcript: `POST https://stenobird.com/v1/public/podcasts/mumbrellacast-311595/episodes/media-apocalypse-right-now/transcription-requests` — Idempotently request low-priority transcript generation for this episode. - read_markdown: `GET https://stenobird.com/podcast/mumbrellacast-311595/media-apocalypse-right-now.md` — Read the agent-friendly Markdown representation of this episode resource.
