But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil .” When Christ is sanctified in our hearts, and we suffer for what is just and good, it allows us the opportunity to proclaim the truth of Christ. - Romans 8:38-39 - 1 Peter 3:13-16 - “13 Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous (most eagerly desirous of) for what (mimetes: imitator) is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness ' (what is just) sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled , (disturbed) 15 but in your hearts honor (hagiazo: sanctify, set apart, make holy) Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense (apologia: defend) to anyone who asks you for a reason (logos: word) for the hope (joyful and confident expectation) that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.
