## Resource

In today’s Morning Manna, Rick Wiles continues Proverbs 29 with verses 10 and 11, examining why the upright often attract hatred they did not provoke and why wisdom requires restraint in speech. Solomon contrasts the bloodthirsty, who hate the blameless, with the fool who releases everything in his mind without restraint. Rick explains that righteousness itself can provoke hostility because integrity exposes darkness simply by being present. But the lesson also warns believers not to mistake every conflict for persecution or to deliberately provoke others and then claim victimhood. The focus then turns to the discipline of the tongue. A fool immediately releases every thought, emotion, irritation, and reaction, while a wise person knows how to hold words back until the right time. Wisdom is not permanent silence—it is knowing what should be said, when it should be said, and how much should be said. The same words spoken in the heat of the moment can wound, while words delivered later with restraint and discernment can bring healing.
