## Resource

A drone strike hit two gas vessels in Egypt’s Damietta port near the Suez Canal, raising alarms over shipping safety and sparking a regional escalation as U.S. and Israeli forces strike Iranian targets in Iraq and Jordan. Iran retaliated with missile attacks on Kuwait and claimed strikes on U.S. bases, while Saudi Arabia joined U.S. strikes against Iran-aligned groups. With Houthi militants blockading Saudi Arabia’s oil routes and London expanding its Red Sea risk zone, tensions soar — even as Trump pushes for peace. Oil prices surged before dipping, and Iran’s rejection of Oman’s Hormuz proposal adds to the instability, as China prepares to deliver advanced air-defense systems to Tehran.
