## Resource

Montreal’s flood risk maps are stuck in limbo — delayed since 2019, now pushed back again with no firm new date. The Environment Ministry blames “external factors,” but local officials are furious, calling it a failure to protect residents. These updated, color-coded maps — featuring five risk levels from low to very high — are critical for climate-resilient planning, yet outdated info still dominates the government site. Communities are left in the dark, while municipalities scramble to answer residents’ urgent questions about safety and preparedness.
