## Resource

In a hauntingly beautiful new documentary, filmmaker Sophie Deraspe captures the final moments of individuals choosing medically assisted dying, revealing profound peace and humanity amid profound loss. Filmed at Toronto’s TIFF, “The Final Act” follows elderly patients like 101-year-old Paulette Fiset-Germain and Céline Carpentier, who find relief in their choice — not to escape death, but to embrace dignity. Deraspe’s intimate lens reveals how deeply personal and surprisingly serene these final acts can be, offering quiet reflection on mortality without political debate. The film opens theatrically in April and screens again at TIFF on September 15th. Listen in comfort: Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
